Dear Family and Friends,
Our words alone cannot express how grateful we are for each one of you!
Here are some highlights of this year’s fundraiser:
· Over 200 people were in attendance Friday, June 3rd.
· Fleckenstein’s Bakery, Teddy Bear Nursery & Day Care, Ricobene’s, the bakers of Parker Road Bible Church and the Wirtz Family, made it all possible for a fabulous meal!
· More than 20 door prizes were given out, each one donated and beautifully done.
· Over 50 people helped set-up, take-down, clean, serve, cook, lead music, pick up food, supervise teens and moonwalk, take out garbage, vacuum, clean bathrooms, and SO MUCH MORE!
· As of July 15th, 22 youth were attending camp this summer already – BECAUSE OF YOU! And more are going!
· Because of your hard work and very generous donations, so much is being accomplished in the lives of many!
We received a letter from a Chicago teacher who has been
able to use this special scholarship fund this month:
“…my kids and I truly wish you could see the joy they have while at camp. It has been amazing to me to see how much fun they have… but what is most amazing is the way I know their lives are being changed….These are experiences that will stay with them for the rest of their lives…”
It has truly been a blessing working together with you to help God’s children. None of this could happen without you. At the end of the evening, our musicians lead us in giving praise to God for all He has accomplished. Pastor Scott closed in prayer and the verse he used was “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” Hebrews 13:16. There is no doubt that God was pleased that night!
