July, 2006 – Update on Fundraiser

We, family and friends of Jessica Troyer, are overwhelmed by the love you have shown for those less fortunate than yourselves.  You have given of yourselves in order to give some of God’s children a chance not only to make a difference on earth, but to impact many lives for eternity as well.

Thank You!           Thank You!          Thank You!

We cannot adequately express our gratitude and the impact your giving will make in the lives of children who will attend Phantom Ranch this summer.  We know of one group of junior high boys from Chicago who will be going on an Adventure week.  We know that 2 youth that attended camp last summer from your contributions are volunteering as staff this summer.  I received a call from a pastor of a church at 55th & State Street 10-days after the fundraiser.  They are in desperate need of help for the teens in their church.  Their desire is to offer some of them a change of environment while providing a better focus.  Because you let God use you, we will be able to help some of them.

Your donations have a far larger impact on lives than you can imagine.  God takes every penny donated and uses it in a mighty way.

As of today, you have provided over $7,500.00

through your monetary donations.

170 people were able to attend the spaghetti dinner held on June 2nd, 2006.  We dined on a superb meal headed by Melanie Troyer in the kitchen, along with some great help from family and friends.

And all of our helpersWe couldn’t serve in this ministry without you.  Your support and help make the dinner happen.  Whatever your contribution, whether it was waiting on tables, cooking the pasta, putting together a salad so worth eating, doing dishes, taking garbage out, setting-up, tearing down, cleaning bathrooms, putting up balloons, making sure our little ones were safe in the moonwalk, delivering equipment, running sound, making signs, or just being there making sure we were ok, we thank you.

Special thanks to our Wirtz kids You know who you are.  You came through. We love and appreciate each one of you so very much (that includes our extended nieces and nephews.)

And to the KovalsJessie not only picked a great friend, but her friend’s parents always loved and supported Jessie through good and bad times.  You have shown your love by honoring Jessie’s memory in such beautiful ways.

·         We have raised funds for those less fortunate than ourselves in memory of Jessie.

·         We do this to help save God’s children, to introduce them to the Savior and to a life of purpose.

·         We do this not to just give them a week’s vacation out of the city, but to have an eternal impact on them as well.

·         We do this to share the comfort God has given us, to help comfort others in need.

Thank you so much for letting God use each one of you

in this very important ministry.
