2nd Corinthians 1:3-4
Dear Friends and Family,
YOU ARE AMAZING!
You have allowed God to use you in part of His plans! This year in particular, the number of inner-city children murdered has brought their plight to the forefront. Not many of us can begin to imagine what they face on a daily basis. God’s plans for us, and for these children, include plans to give us a hope and a future. This ministry helps to do just that.
This year’s annual spaghetti dinner was awesome! Each person who attended was able to fill their bellies with a great meal and desserts. Our special treat was meeting and talking to Evan Dollard, the “Rocket” from American Gladiator. Evan flew in from California (even with his flight being delayed due to some nasty weather), took pictures with us, signed autographs, arm wrestled with some and spoke to us about his time spent at Phantom Ranch as a camper and staff. Olen Johnsen, associate director of Phantom Ranch, spoke about how our donations are used. We ended the night in song, giving the praise to our God. So many of you contributed to the success of this year’s fundraiser, and we truly appreciate you!Every prayer lifting the needs of the fundraiser, every dessert baked, dish washed, plate served, garbage tossed, rug vacuumed, floor mopped, smile and hug given, note played, song sung, jumpers set-up, child watched, food donated and monies you sent in, have been and will be used in a mighty way! We may not see the results in this life, but we are convinced that lives will be changed. 100% of every penny donated will help send a youth in need to camp this summer.
